An account is billed on the first day of each billing cycle for the number of hosts monitored at that time. If new hosts are added during a month, the usage for the new hosts until that month’s end will be charged immediately. If hosts are deleted during a month, the prorated usage will be deducted from the next month’s invoice. If the account is closed, a refund will be issued for unused time during the month. Please see the billing documentation for additional information.
Affirmative. Our engineers originally developed this service as an in-house solution for host management. Existing solutions are prohibitively expensive over cellular networks due to the large volumes of data collected and transmitted. We optimized for low network throughput while maintaining data granularity. Details of potential configurations to minimize data plan costs can be found in the documentation.
Yes, the pricing applies per host, whether you have a server or remote IoT device. Please see the documentation for available metrics collected by the Galago agent.
Certainly! Billing occurs on a per host basis and is linked to the host id. If you would like to transfer the service to a new machine, simply move the agent and existing configuration file. Alternatively, download the most recent agent, generate the config file, and transfer the old host id. More details on the installation procedure can be found in the documentation.
